Public Works Director/Engineer

The City of Ammon is accepting applications for a City Engineer/Public Works Director. The principal function of the City Engineer/Public Works Director is to plan, organize, implement and manage the department’s water, wastewater, streets and solid waste functions and to perform professional engineering duties including project and plan review and approval, project design and management for all capital improvement projects, and providing technical support. The position directly supervises the superintendent of the Water/Wastewater Division and the superintendent of the Streets/Sanitation Division. The City Engineer/Public Works Director indirectly supervises all other department staff. The work is performed under the general direction of the City Administrator. Customer Service Specialist

The City of Ammon is hiring a Customer Service Specialist. The principal responsibilities of this position are customer service, assisting with utilities, general office work, and provide clerical support to the Finance Department by inputting payment data and scanning. This position is directly supervised by the Finance Director. A self-starting individual is essential to this position. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment and include typing and 10-key skills. Starting wage is $11 - $13/hr. depending on experience. Fire Department

The Ammon Fire Department is accepting applications for Resident Firefighters. The Resident Firefighter Program provides a unique opportunity as well as free room and living expenses. Residents are trained as Firefighter/EMTs and given the responsibilities of responding with fire apparatus to emergency scenes, EMS calls, and station detail duties. No prior training is needed to apply, but will be considered.
